• Usage data: Learning progress, exercise scores, study duration, and interaction patterns to personalize your experience.
• Device information: Device type, operating system, and app version for compatibility and troubleshooting.
• Voice data: Audio recordings for pronunciation practice and speech recognition features.

• Provide, maintain, and improve our language learning services.
• Process speech-to-text transcription and pronunciation evaluation using on-device and cloud-based AI models.
• Personalize your learning experience based on your progress and preferences.
• Sync your data across devices through your authenticated account.
• Send essential communications such as account verification, security alerts, and service updates.
• Analyze aggregated, anonymized data to improve our algorithms and user experience.

VoxMirror provides speech recognition and pronunciation assessment features that process your voice. We handle voice data with special care:

• On-device processing: Speech-to-text transcription runs locally on your device whenever possible using on-device AI models. Audio is not transmitted to external servers for this purpose.
• User-controlled storage: Audio recordings are stored only when you explicitly choose to save them as part of your learning materials.
• No voice profiling: We do not use your voice data to create voice prints, biometric identifiers, or for any purpose other than the language learning features you activate.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

• Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest using AES-256 encryption.
• Account credentials are hashed using industry-standard algorithms.
• We use Supabase, a secure cloud infrastructure provider, for authentication and data storage.
• Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel and governed by strict access controls.

VoxMirror integrates with the following third-party services to provide core functionality:

• Supabase: Cloud authentication, database, and storage services. Supabase Privacy Policy.
• Google ML Kit: On-device translation and text recognition. Data processed by ML Kit generally remains on your device.
• Speech-to-Text APIs: Used for pronunciation evaluation. Audio snippets sent for processing are not stored by these services beyond the transient processing session.
• OAuth providers (Google, Apple, Facebook): Used only for authentication when you choose to sign in through these platforms. We receive only the profile information you authorize.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We only share data with service providers to the extent necessary for them to perform services on our behalf.

• Your account data is retained as long as your account remains active.
• Learning materials and progress data are stored until you delete them or your account is terminated.
• You may delete individual learning materials, vocabulary items, or audio recordings at any time from within the app.
• You may request full account deletion by contacting us. Upon verification, we will permanently delete your account and associated data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Rectification: Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure: Request deletion of your personal data.
• Portability: Receive your data in a structured, commonly used format.
• Objection: Object to processing of your data for specific purposes.

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your country of residence. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, including standard contractual clauses, to protect your data when transferred internationally.
