How to Use URL Import

A step-by-step guide to importing audio and video from any website into VoxMirror.

1

Open VoxMirror App

Open the VoxMirror App (login is required to use this feature).

The app will verify your login status before allowing access to the URL import feature.

2

Import Material → Download from Website

In the app, tap "Import Material" and select "Download from Website".

The app will automatically open your browser and pass your authentication token securely.

3

Paste a Video or Audio Link

Paste any supported URL into the input field and tap "Extract".

Supported platforms include Bilibili, YouTube (may require login), and many other video/audio sites. The system will try to extract the best quality video first, falling back to audio if video is unavailable.

4

Download the File

Tap the download button to save the file to your device.

The file downloads directly from the source website to your device — it does not pass through our servers. This means faster downloads and better privacy.

5

Import into VoxMirror

After the download completes, tap "Open in App to Import" to return to the app.

The app will automatically open and navigate to the import page. Select the downloaded file to add it to your library.

Tips & FAQ

Supported Formats

Video: MP4, WebM, MKV. Audio: MP3, AAC, FLAC, OGG. The system automatically selects the best available quality.

File Size Limits

Large files (>500MB) may take longer to download on mobile networks. We recommend using Wi-Fi for large files.

Download Location

Files are saved to your browser's default download folder. On iOS, check the Files app. On Android, check your Downloads folder.

YouTube Limitations

YouTube currently requires authentication for extraction. If a YouTube link fails, try using Bilibili or other platforms instead.
